Performances
All performances are optional, but it is assumed that all dancers will participate in For the Love of Dance and the Spring Showcase or Spring Production unless you specifically contact the studio to let us know you would like to opt out. Please let us know ASAP if you plan to opt out of any performances so that instructors can plan accordingly.
WINTER PRODUCTION - By audition only, Level 2 and up
Our Winter Production changes each season and is an optional performance for dancers in Level 2 and up. All dancers must audition in order to participate and a $45 production fee is required. All rehearsals will take place outside of regular class time and there will be production week rehearsals at the Calumet Theatre during the week leading up to the show. Click here to view more details about this year’s Winter Production.
FOR THE LOVE OF DANCE - All classes
For the Love of Dance is an informal performance for ALL of our classes (some adult classes may be excluded). Classes perform short dances to showcase what they have learned so far this year and get a little experience performing in front of an audience before our bigger shows at the end of the season. Tentative date: February 9
SPRING SHOWCASE - Young Dancers (Creative Movement, Fundamentals, Mini Hoppers, and Pre-Level classes) and Studio Companies
This is a chance for our youngest dancers to perform in costume without the stress and pressure of big production week rehearsals. They will perform as characters on the same theme as our Spring Production. It’s also a chance for our Studio Companies to showcase everything they have been working on this season - from group competition pieces to self-choreographed solos. Tentative date: May 4
There are NO extra rehearsals outside of class time for this performance. Families must purchase costumes for this performance. Click here for more info about costume fees.
SPRING PRODUCTION - Level 1 and up and Adult classes
All of our group classes in technique Levels 1 and up will participate in our annual Spring Production at the Rozsa Center (tentative date: May 17-18). This production will have a theme and storyline tying the whole show together, as well as having extensive sound and lighting cues, which require extra rehearsals at the theater.
All dancers will be required to attend rehearsals at the theater during Production Week, (tentatively May 13-16 in the evenings). A production fee of $10 per class will be added to accounts for the final billing period of the season. Families must also purchase costumes for this performance. Click here for more info about costume fees.
